On the morning of January 18, 2026, at the 3T Pickleball Club, UEH Alumni hosted the “Ready for Homecoming 2026” friendly tournament and officially launched the Alumni Pickleball Club. This significant sporting event is part of the series of activities leading up to the 50th anniversary of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH).
The tournament was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet – Chairwoman of the UEH Alumni Executive Committee; Phan Ngoc Anh, M.A. – Secretary-General of the UEH Alumni Executive Committee and Deputy Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Son – Director of the UEH Center for Physical Education; along with the Organizing Committee, referees, and especially the large presence of UEH alumni from various graduating classes.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet expressed her joy at meeting the UEH Alumni community on the court. She shared: “Witnessing today’s dramatic final, I was truly impressed by the enthusiastic and fair-play spirit of our alumni. It demonstrates the capabilities and talent of UEH learners, who excel not only in academics and research but also in cultural, social, and especially sporting activities. UEH is very proud to have you as our learners, and our doors are always open to welcome you back. Today’s tournament is a practical step in strengthening the UEH Alumni community and sets the stage for the major events of UEH and UEH Alumni during our 50th-anniversary year. I hope that no matter where you are or what you do, you will always carry your pride, consider yourselves UEHers, and continue to partner with and stay connected to UEH.”

A New Step in the Development of the UEH Alumni Community
A key highlight of the event was the launch of the UEH Alumni Pickleball Club and its Executive Board. The formalization of this structure will enable the alumni pickleball community to operate in a systematic and sustainable manner, laying the groundwork for larger-scale tournaments during UEH’s 50th-anniversary year.

It is hoped that the UEH Alumni Pickleball Club will become a vibrant “hub of passion,” connecting generations of alumni through healthy and meaningful sports activities. The UEH Alumni Executive Committee and the Club’s Executive Board look forward to welcoming many more alumni players to build a strong and spirited community, leading up to the 50th-anniversary milestone of UEH.
